Slovenian Philharmonic Choir

Just as Slovenians are a nation of singers, so too are Latvians. This is affirmed by the Latvian Song and Dance Festival, which is considered to be the world’s largest choral event and has been part of UNESCO’s Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Heritage since 2008, testifying to the importance of singing in Latvian culture. This is also reflected at the highest level in Latvian choral composition and performance. We will be introduced to the rich treasury of Latvian choral music by the excellent young conductor Anastasia Kildiša, winner of the 2nd Aegis Carminis International Competition for Choral Conductors in Koper in 2021.
