The series East Side Story follows the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra’s international tour of South Korea and Japan in the fall of 2025. In the fourth episode, we get to know the orchestra’s oboist, Pietro Savonitto, a little better and, through his eyes, experience the daily life of a musician on tour. We follow his preparations for concerts, glimpses of a typical day on tour, and his feelings before, during, and after the performance—all of which reveal the dedication, focus, and passion for music of an orchestral musician on the international stage.
