The Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra is seeking a highly qualified musician for the position of:
FIRST VIOLIN – TUTTI (M/F)
Auditions will be held in the Marjan Kozina Concert Hall, Slovenian Philharmonic Building (Kongresni trg 10, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia) on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, commencing at 2:00 pm.
About the position:
The employment contract with the selected candidate will be concluded for the duration of the replacement of a temporarily absent employee but no later than June 15th, 2027, with full-time employment and a probationary period of five months.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (university-level degree in music – previous programme) or Master’s degree (Bologna second level degree in music)*
- Slovene language proficiency**
- Foreign language proficiency (English, German, French, Spanish or Russian)
- Minimum of six months relevant work experience
- Successful completion of the audition
*Please note that if a candidate does not meet the educational requirements for the position, an exceptionally successful audition may be considered as a compensatory factor for the required degree, on an exceptional basis.
**If a candidate does not speak Slovene, an exceptionally successful audition may, as an exception, compensate for the required language proficiency.

About the position:
The employment contract with the successful candidate will be concluded for a fixed term, namely for the period of replacement of a temporarily absent employee, but in any event no later than 30 September 2027. The employment will be full-time and subject to a probationary period of five months.

The Slovenian Philharmonic Choir is seeking highly qualified musicians for the positions of:
“SOPRANO, ALTO, TENOR AND BASS”
Auditions will be held in the Slavko Osterc Concert Hall, Slovenian Philharmonic Building (Kongresni trg 10, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia) on Tuesday, 25 August 2026, commencing at 12.00 noon.
Candidates who successfully pass the audition may, during the 2026/2027 concert season and in accordance with the needs of the Slovenian Philharmonic, be engaged as freelance/external collaborators in the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir. Where necessary, they may also be offered a fixed-term employment contract on a full-time basis for the duration of the absence of the public employee whom they are replacing.
Candidates who successfully pass the audition will be issued a certificate confirming the successful completion of the audition, valid for one year from the date of the audition. A successful audition does not constitute an entitlement to engagement or employment.
