On the eve of her feast day, we celebrate the patron saint of music, St Cecilia. Britten portrays her as an inspiration to all musicians with rich choral harmonic panels, while Handel honours her with an epic ode for choir, orchestra and soloists, setting the words of poet John Dryden. May the music celebrate the power and beauty of singing and all who engage in it!
